Mother's Day @ Myer
I absolutely love how Myer always has different themes, according to what they are trying to sell us. This time it's Mother's Day (10 May). The whole store is decorated with Tiffany's green and other autumn motives, and the displays are cute and very tempting.

Why I just love Brisbane - reason #120
Because you can walk down Queen St Mall on a Friday afternoon and catch a free-of-charge random mini concert, which turns up to be actually really good. Even though it's country music - not my favourite genre - they were very good and very entertaining. In most cases, those concerts are a promotional tool- and so was in this case (some kind of a country festival happening in the beginning of May). Not a problem- promote, as long as I am having fun I never mind.

Bobbi Brown - get your free sample

Bobbi Brown is launching in Australia these days (months after the rest of the world...it was actually part of the 2008 Fall collection) the Shimmering Nude Collection. In the collection you can find the very pretty Shimmering Nudes Palette (AU$95), and new shades of Creamy Lip Color Collection (AU$44).
I just got an email from David Jones stating:
"Experience Shimmering Nudes at your nearest Bobbi Brown Studio and receive a deluxe sample of Shimmer Lip Gloss in Sandy Beige. "
Lovely!

K-Rudd Cash- an update

I still did not see the cash in my account (they said it will take up to 5 weeks), but many companies already started to celebrate, trying to get us to spend our K-Rudd Cash.
David Jones sent an email titled "Government Stimulus Savings" and offers special discounts http://www.davidjones.com.au/images/catalogues/manchester.pdf, and "Adore Beauty" sent an update granting free shippings and special offers on Aussie cosmetics brands. Click on the picture above for full information.
My NYX haul (Part 1)
A few weeks ago, cherryculture.com had an overall sale- 20% off. I grabbed my wallet and went to play in the fields, hauling my way into NYX. I actually did not own any NYX stuff, but heard quite good things about this company. In Brisbane, you can get NYX stuffies at cheap cosmetics outlets like “Groove”, but it seems as they don’t have much stock there.
This is part 1 of my NYX haul, I actually placed another order last weekend. I should be getting it by the end of next week. The parcel arrived to the PO Box exactly a week from the time I received my “your order has been shipped” email. Cool stuff.
So... what did I get? A LOT. Here is the parcel with the cute front logo.
NYX Eyeshadow Trio:
1. Baby Pink/Cotton Candy/Spring Flower
2. Princess Pink/Flamenco/Violet
3. Frosted Flakes/Slate/Iced Mocha (yummy name)

Things that I LOVE-LOVE-LOVE right now (not makeup related)
Ritter SportThese Germans know their business when its coming to chocolate, let me tell you :-)

These two are not related, directly, to the story (but the queue most certainly)
Sushi in Brisbane
Brisbane City is booming at the moment with everything that has to do with sushi. I am guessing that the big queue that emerges every single day in front of "Kim's LR Sushi" on Adelaide St made some people realise that sushi is big $$$$. Its not that we didn't had endless sushi stands in food courts and busy streets in the past, but it seems as the Brisbaners LOVE-LOVE-LOVE their sushi right now. On Adelaide St at least one more sushi place is due to open very soon, as well as in the Myer Centre.
Personally, I love it. I haven't seen outside Australia these kind of sushi rolls- very long (5 cm at least), with many different "stuffings" to choose from, and mainly- very much affordable. The average price for one large sushi roll in Brisbane is $2. Grab 2-4 of these babies, and you are good to go for hours.
Am I queuing for the famous "Kim's LR Sushi"? No way! I had their sushi many times already, getting the goods early morning or at the afternoon. Good sushi, yes. Worth queuing for? No way! In a radios of 500 meters you can find at least 5 more similar sushi places, not to mention 1 kilometer away.

K-Rudd Cash, bring it on
Mr K-Rudd, our very lovely Prime Minister (not to stewardesses, though) is handing out the cash on Monday. If you earned less than $80K last financial year (e.g. most of my fellow Australians) and you submitted your tax returns – you should see in your bank account very soon a big chunk of sweet smelly cash. Most of us will score no less than 900 Aussie Dollars. The cheques and bank transfers start Monday, 6 April. What a lovely Passover/Easter gift.
The whole point of the K-Rudd Cash is to get you to spend. Doesn’t matter on what - as long as it’s reaching Aussie hands. Boosting the economy etc.
Well, no problems here, Mr PM. I invite you, Kevin (I hope you will allow me to call you Kevin. We are from the same city, after all :-) ), to sneak a pick at my blog. Here, I will keep track down my $900, and report how I spent it- every dollar, every cent. Yes, Kevin, you guessed right. Myer, David Jones, Mecca Cosmetica- those are the main retailers that will enjoy this lovely gift. Oh Yahhhaaa...
My lippies collection (and why I can’t use it)

If this is my (almost) whole lip products collection, then why do I ONLY use this right now?
Cold sores
Bugger. Bummer. ^&%%^%$*
Yes, I have been suffering from this disgusting, irritating, awful thing in the past week or so. And for a lipgloss/stick addict like me, it’s pure hell. Not to mention the fact I look like a witch (end of quote, husband). I hope it will get back to normal by next weekend. After all, Sugersweet is coming to town.
Welcome

Welcome to my blog. Yes, there are probably tons of makeup blogs out there. Girls from all around the world share PR photos, mouth watering hauls posts, and injury-looking swatch arms. So how will this blog contribute to our much saturated blogosphere? Well.... hard to say :-)
I will try my best to give you guys a bit of everything and satisfy your addiction. They do say that sharing your addiction with others can help, no? In this case I assume it will only make it worst...
I will try to update this blog as frequently as possible, so please don’t give up on me if I won’t deliver the goods for a while.
Yours
Gingit6
